There’s two new pictures up on the left hand side. One is of another one of
my Vaxes on the living room floor of my old apartment.

The second is one of me at the MIT Media Labs. I was absolutley thrilled to
be there, and I was having an awesome good time, but I have to tell you about
these two nasty women inside.

A couple of us sneak into the Media Lab building elevator while the rest of
the group is still exploring the art downstairs. (Very cool images of people
unwrapped in different projections usually reserved for mapping the earth.)
Anyhow, these two ladies get in with us, and it’s pretty hard to hide that
we’re not from around there given we have Canadian flags tacked all over our
coats and hats and we’re behaving like awestruck tourists. So I ask, “Is
there any way we could get a tour of the Media Lab? Is there someone we can
talk to about making an appoint…” and one of the ladies cuts me off, -
glares- at me, and says “Not unless you have two hundred thousand dollars.”

Ironically, I -did- have access to a two hundred thousand dollar budget at
the time, but I wasn’t about to pay that to get a peek at thier poetry
fountain, especially after they had us escorted back down to the main
floor.

I suppose it’s better than being arrested by campus police. Although that
would have made a much more exciting story…
