Can you guess what I’m doing?

March 28th, 2001 · No Comments · Uncategorized

Guess what a person does after being on the road for 6 weeks!

Nothing! Wonderful, wonderful, nothing. It feels incredible. I’m even too
lazy to fix my own supper, I went out and got chinese.

Awesome

Meanwhile, my mechwarrior army is ravaging the hillsides, in MechCommander,
the first game I’ve bothered playing in a long time.

And to be [...]

Conventional Scanner

March 25th, 2001 · No Comments · Frustrations

It suddenly occured to me that because I both forgot to have my film scanned
at the photo place (which gave me a cookbook, a bunch of free developing
coupons and a handful of photo sleeves for having 9 rolls of film processed
at the same time) and because I’m a complete nitwit it may be a while [...]

Bjork “All is full of Love” DVD

March 24th, 2001 · No Comments · Uncategorized

I finally found it. After months of searching and then finally giving up, I
instinctually darted to the back of the HMV on Sparks street, and found what
I’d been looking for. The limited edition single “All is full of love” video
on DVD.

Oh, the beautiful robots…*dreamy*

I’m -baaack-.

March 24th, 2001 · No Comments · Uncategorized

I’m back home, and having an eerie re-culturalizing experience. Where are all
the trucks? The abnormally beautiful blonde women? Where are the mountains,
and the sinister jackrabbits that chased me through the desert?

Ottawa is just perfect, actually. I couldn’t be happier to be home. And all
of this travelling has given me a hardcore creative high.

New office digs

March 15th, 2001 · No Comments · Uncategorized

We’re all moved into our new office in Utah and we’re getting settled in.
Makes our Ottawa office look like a shed.

Troy and I still, every morning as we pull out of our hotel driveway, make
this ooooh-ahhh-ing sound and stare off into the mountain sunrise.

I checked out the cover of Computer Graphics World, and it [...]

Getting ready for the weekend.

March 9th, 2001 · No Comments · Uncategorized

Not entirely sure what I’m going to do this weekend, there’s a whole bunch of
opportunity here to explore and to try out new things. Any suggestions?

Brought Troy for his first Sushi meal last night. He … well, he claims he’s
still neutral on it, but I know he hated it. I can’t get enough of the
stuff.

Anyhow, [...]

I’m in Utah!

March 6th, 2001 · No Comments · Uncategorized

I’m writing from an Internet Cafe in … some city in Utah.

The scenery is -gorgeous-. I’m just south of Salt Lake City, and I’m
surrounded on all sides by 13,000 feet tall mountains. It’s going to make for
a mind-blowing journal.

Flying over I composed a couple of e-mails on my handspring, which people
should get back if I [...]

Panoramic Shot of Boston

March 4th, 2001 · No Comments · Uncategorized

I’ve finally put together that panoramic shot of
Boston that I took by rotating my body 30 degrees at a time and snapping
off 12 photos. It didn’t work flawlessly (witness the nasty gnarled sunlit
shot) but I managed to string them together pretty well. (With some liberal
application of photoshop magic.)

The -next- one will be a little more [...]
