So my system at work got trashed thanks to the Nimda virus. Didn’t even have
a chance. I had all the code red patches, I’m behind a firewall, I didn’t
click on any e-mails inviting me to look at snow white, it somehow managed to
get behind the firewall and attacked my machine over a lunch-hour. In the two
minutes it took me to realize something was horribly wrong when I got back,
it was too late. 7000 corrupted files on my machine. R.P.China.

Lucky for me, I managed to salvage most of what I needed to continue doing my
job, and we have an instant-reformat-and-setup CD in the office that got me
back on my feet in just under 4 hours. But I’ve had a lot of steam pent up
since then.

So tonight we all went to Corey’s place and humiliated ourselves in the first
and last “show off your crappy college demo” party. Old concerts, movies, CG
effects… it was a blast. I only wished I had more to show.
Unfortunately, everything I’ve done since college has been really good.
