Last night I was up playing SimCity 2000 till 4 in the morning. I’d finally broken free of debt on the hardest setting, my city was prospering, and I’d begun saving to buy a top-notch football stadium for my invisibly tiny citizens, and then the worst Simulated Disaster in recorded history struck.
EARTHQUAKE STRIKES COBILLVILLE
Not 1, not 10, not 100 buildings exploded. All the buildings collapsed to the ground. Every. Single. One. In mere seconds, there was nothing left of my city but little rubble-covered squares and the odd electrical line. Even the -roads- exploded.
I have never had that happen before in a game of SimCity. Today I live in fear of the Disasters On option.
