Now I’m getting moderately upset

October 29th, 2001 · No Comments · Uncategorized

I wasn’t on the ball for a few seconds and I let some things get past me.

DRAT!

Shows me what I get for taking a time-out to go visit Ottawa.

A “shorts” story

October 21st, 2001 · No Comments · Observations

I just remembered the greatest story when I was in the bathroom. I had left this old pair of shorts (now a floor-cleaning rag) in the shower, and it triggered a memory.
I used to have these shorts from Zellers that were on sale for like $3 or something, they were pretty small with an elastic [...]

More stuff!

October 21st, 2001 · No Comments · Observations

I’ve been doing a lot of stuff! Particularly shopping.

Caught Trevor’s flu. (I’m feeling much better now)
I managed to find the Playdium downtown, with the help of Michelle.
I succesfully managed to navigate my way between busses and trains trying to get somewhere.
Got some curtains and set them up.
And I got my projector going. Is [...]

Jay’s Mississauga Adventure

October 16th, 2001 · No Comments · Observations

Today was payday, and the first day since I’ve been down here that I could
afford to bother going out. I was looking for furniture (I didn’t bother
bringing my night table or dresser down since my parents wanted to buy them
off me anyhow) and ended up finding Adventure!
Today I:

Watched the sharks being fed at Big Al’s [...]

Origin Sticker

October 13th, 2001 · No Comments · Ottawa

Among other things in the “I can’t beleive I packed this” file, which is starting to get pretty full as I unpack the last of the things I have still in boxes, is this:

It’s the ticket to a (formerly yearly) rave at Carleton University that I died my hair Green for and went to with [...]

Iron Monkey

October 13th, 2001 · No Comments · Review

I saw Iron Monkey this evening. It’s an awesome movie. It was totally enjoyable from beginning to end. The fight scenes were awesome, the over-the- top acting was hilarious, and the storyline was a ball of fun designed to string a series of fight scenes together.
The translations in spots were a little rough (I saw [...]

Toronto’s film scene, and Gaming

October 12th, 2001 · No Comments · Uncategorized

I keep coming up with, one after another, cool reasons to be in Toronto.

Did you know we have film festivals here? There are film festivals in Ottawa
too, of course. But they’re not -new- movies, on the film festival circuit.
They aren’t -new- films, being presented by the director. They have those
here. That’s really cool.

Been reading about [...]

Uphill March

October 11th, 2001 · No Comments · Uncategorized

So I’m walking to the bus this morning and my heart is pounding and I’m
getting short of breath, and I’m thinking to myself “I’m -so- out of shape!”
when I turn back and realise that I’ve been climbing a 90 foot escarpment at
a 25 degree angle using my normal stride every morning.

I’m going to be in [...]

Madam, I’m Adam

October 10th, 2001 · No Comments · Drawing

Meet Adam, my generic human. Modelled him during my downtime at home while I had no internet access. He’s a generic female with the touch of a few buttons, and the whole point of him is to serve as the clay that will allow me to build a whole fleet of digital people.

I can’t beleive [...]
