Jay’s Mississauga Adventure

October 16th, 2001 · No Comments · Observations

Today was payday, and the first day since I’ve been down here that I could
afford to bother going out. I was looking for furniture (I didn’t bother
bringing my night table or dresser down since my parents wanted to buy them
off me anyhow) and ended up finding Adventure!

Today I:

  • Watched the sharks being fed at Big Al’s Aquarium Supply.
  • Got a Laserquest Membership.
  • Looked at a lot of night tables.
  • Bought and installed a ridiculous amount of RAM for super cheap.
  • Picked up some candy for the kids on Halloween.
  • Found a place I can get bus passes.
  • Listen to and old man tell stories about how when he was in the war, his buddies were drug dealers, and they had multi-thousand dollar stereo systems.
  • Met a furniture salesman who looked -just- like Jackie Chan. The resemblance is incredible.
  • Looked at toy models. Apparently “professionally made” plastic models can run you $200, prebuilt. So you don’t have to have all the fun of building it yourself. Heh. Who buys pre-built models?
