Every so often I go check out Adcritic to get caught up on all the pop culture I’m missing by not having a TV. It’s amusing listening to people describing commercials on the bus, or the subway, as though they look forward to the spots in between their TV shows more than the shows themselves.
Anyhow, this is probably old news, but today when I went on Adcritic there was something new. A banner, as tall as the screen, enticing me:
You are one click away from SUPER FAST, FULL SCREEN ADS!
Furthermore, it invites me to BUY advertisements.
I can’t be the only person who finds the thought of paying for ads to be twisted and depraved, am I? I mean, they’re -everywhere-, already, trying to jump into our eyes and ears off of subway pillars, bus shelters, though the paper, through the radio, through films, through practically every web page and most of all through television… and here we have the -opportunity- to BUY high quality advertisements.
*Jay’s head explodes* That’s way too twisted for me to comprehend. I’m itchy to get ahold of some Adbusters and console myself.
