Nothing is as pretty…

January 31st, 2002 · No Comments · Uncategorized

On the subject of beautiful sights…

I don’t think I’ve ever witnessed anything as beautiful as a blizzard from an
airplane. The spotlights light up a swath of speeding snowflakes out the
windows, and you can see them getting sucked ito the engine like a billion
glittering diamond strings.

They even have a sound. There’s a hum… a hum of [...]

Point Grey

January 31st, 2002 · No Comments · Uncategorized

I went down to the ocean last night with one of Eiko’s friends, and sat on
the beach, in the dark, watching the snow fall over the water.

Wow.

It was -really- cool. I love the ocean.

Yesterday I turned 25

January 29th, 2002 · No Comments · Uncategorized

You’d hardly have known it from the way I spent my day, in the office for 16
hours. But I plan to take some time off this week and pamper myself
downtown.

So, I -feel- 25. It kinda snuck up on me (I didn’t realise Monday was my
birthday till Sunday evening) but I didn’t put up [...]

Off to Vancouver

January 24th, 2002 · No Comments · Uncategorized

Flying again. This time I’m headed back to Vancouver. I’ll try to get some
pictures up someday, I promise.

I leave tomorrow sometime around 1, and I won’t be back for a few weeks.
Wheee!

Tonight I’m going out for dinner, then packing, packing, packing. I have to
put everything back into the suitcase!

Talk to you soon!

Juxtaposition

January 19th, 2002 · No Comments · Uncategorized

So, when I finally got home last night, I decided to give TV another chance
beause I needed something mindless to do while my brain recuperated from
spending a couple of long days in the office in “Hyperfocus” and “Problem
Solving” mode.

I turned it on, and on Bravo there was a man playing the piano and being
whipped and [...]

The coldest, ever.

January 17th, 2002 · No Comments · Uncategorized

Alright, I might sound like a big wimp, and I’ve had plenty of warnings
already about it, but HOLY MOLEY it’s COLD here in Winnipeg! Aye carumba!

I walked to work this morning through -32 Celcius weather, which is -26
Farenheit. When I got to work I could feel my nose just about ready to drop
off.

What [...]

Conspiracy Theories

January 16th, 2002 · No Comments · Uncategorized

Oh, along that same line of thought, I watched the conspiracy show on TNN,
and they were talking about the Philadelphia project with some old guys who
claimed to be there, and the comedians on the panel just -tore- the poor guy
apart. The irony is that French Stewart (That squinty guy frmo Third Rock)
kept opening his mouth [...]

Art Bell

January 16th, 2002 · No Comments · Uncategorized

I listened to an episode of Art Bell
last night for the first time ever, and what a pile of bunk it was. I’ve
heard of him. He’s a big “paranormal investigator” kind of guy who has a
radio show in the states where he reads out bits and peices of exciting new
supernatural discoveries. It took me about [...]

Working late

January 16th, 2002 · No Comments · Uncategorized

While you’re waiting for the organ site to come back up so you can tell me
what type of guts you most closely resemble… how about a chat, hm?

A little update from me, maybe. I’m at the Frantic Films office in Winnipeg,
working late and hiccuping on pizza that was leftover from our impromptu
office party. Life [...]

You know what they say…

January 15th, 2002 · No Comments · Uncategorized

“Build a better Internal Organ Comparison Quiz, and the world will beat a
path to your door.”

Poor guy who invented the quiz is suffering from something akin to slashdot
effect, there’s a bajillion people overrunning his site and overloading his
servers.
