Things I like about it:
- The reflection of his toes in the floor kinda work. I’d rather have them a little less bright, but it seems the reflectance material I used was additive only.
- Originally, I didn’t bother building geometry in where the benches are, so there were weird inconsistencies where his shadows fell. That’s fixed. And they look like they fall in the right places.
- Took me a while to comp out those poles in front of him. They took a lot of work to get right.
Things I -don’t- like about it:
- The shadows fall wrong. There’s no area light primitive in Max, so I’ll either have to find a plug in, or render it at work using entropy.
- Also, he seems a lot brighter on my monitor at work. He looked a bit darker at home, and he fit in a bit better.
- And he needs more noise. Or some jpeg artifacting or something.
