So, two movies are being released at around the same time, about surfing.
What are the odds?

The contenders:

Blue Crush cheezy bikini-flick
starring Kate Bosworth’s bum (Or so the trailer seems to indicate, over and
over), a bunch of other girls with wet hair and no tan
lines, and Michelle Rodrigues, who kicks zombie ass. No wait, that was
Resident Evil. Maybe she kicks another girl’s ass? No, that was Girlfight.
Well, she drives a suped up hot rod or something, I think. She’s all about
kicking ass, anyways. This is a surfing movie by people from the Annette
Funicello school of “Supermodels in bikinis on surfboards sell tickets” film-
making

VS

Step Into Liquid, on the other hand, is a documentary about surfing that
looks super amazingly -hardcore-. I will probably go see this twice. It even
has a -real- (probably in more than one way) surfer chick in it. I have only
one thing to say, after you go see the trailer. Supertanker Wake Surfing. Wow.
