When Rat Race came out, it was panned by the critics, some of whom claimed
that all the best parts were in the trailer. I got a chance to see it tonight
after I got home, so I plopped myself down in front of the TV with a bowl of
popcorn and watched it from beginning to end, and I have to say that it was a
pretty great little film. 
To be honest, there weren’t a -lot- of laughs from the movie, which is
surprising considering the very talented cast, but I think they did the best
they could with the script, and there were four or five side-splitting parts
where I couldn’t help but spit popcorn all over my coffee table.
The part with Jon Lovits crashing (literally) the WWII veteran’s reunion was
pretty classic. I was in tears.
I saw it free on TV, but it’s probably worth renting. Give it a go if you
need a lift up.
