Yet another important lesson learned – when something needs fixing, don’t put it off, just DO it. I generally know ahead of time when something is going to come around and bite me in the rear end, and sometimes I just can’t get to it in time. We had a flimsy decorative Ikea box on our bookshelf that Natasha insisted I put all my stored electronics into. I knew it wouldn’t hold and needed (at least) some tape, but thought a “Don’t move this box” warning would be memorable enough.
Anyhow, Natasha’s okay, but my VCR and audio equipment didn’t like being emptied out onto the floor from 5 feet up. It made a pretty exciting crashing noise – I thought the building had collapsed.
