A Tangible Week

February 1st, 2009 · No Comments · Observations

I completed a couple of neat tangible projects this week – there’s something about putting real things together that’s really satisfying since most of the stuff I do starts and ends as bits in a computer. Being able to hold something in your hand at the end of the day is really awesome.

I made up a poster for a friend’s birthday – I had a brainstorm the night before her big day and worked all night on editing copy for it, and then found a print shop in the morning that did up an amazing huge poster out of it. It looks fantastic, and now I have a resource for doing more – I’m working on a couple of big poster ideas I hope to get printed soon at the same little shop.

Another cool thing is the 2009 official bitHeads Birthday Mug – every year bitHeads give out a beer stein to all the employees on their birthdays, and this year it’s got my Babo design etched onto the side of it. I’m using mine (I was one of the first recipients with my January birthday!) to drink my protein shakes in the morning.
