I spent the afternoon with dirt up to my elbows repotting some of our houseplants and getting an early start on our balcony garden. The seed starter tray is planted with Thyme, Sage, Dill and Sweet Basil, and I have a couple of larger pots that I started Tiny Tim Tomatoes in. I’m hoping that by the time Natasha gets back we’ll have some sprouts popping out, anxious for spring potting. Nights are still too chilly, but we get good direct light in the evening and I think we’ll have some green monsters able to go outside in May.
If anyone’s interested in swapping some seeds, I have plenty of leftovers of all the varieties mentioned above, and a couple of heirloom vegetable plants that I’m not going to grow this year – we’d be interested in anything herb-y that would grow well in a pot. Come to think of it – I think Natasha has some mint seeds around here someplace… *digdigdig*
