Kids (and apparently dogs) these days have no respect for hard-working cement-pourers who take pride in the smoothness of their sidewalks. This kind of miscreant youth behavior is clearly the result of cursive writing no longer being taught in schools.

Mini-Reviews
September 27th, 2009 · No Comments · Review
Here’s a bunch of mini reviews since I’m a little behind the binge of rentals and lenders we borrowed this week.
Taken – Really Cool – Liam Neeson plays an ex-covert-ops guy who’s daughter is kidnapped. So he basically flies to France and beats -everyone- up. He’s got a great technique, too – mostly walking up [...]

Remic Rapids
September 21st, 2009 · No Comments · Ottawa, Photography
On our bike ride to Parliament Hill (which was AWESOME), Natasha and I discovered Remic Rapids, a little park area right near Parkdale, along the Ottawa River. As we came up over the hill, we saw a big stretch of standing stone statues. Lots of fun!
There were a surprising number of people down there. I’d [...]

Gamer
September 18th, 2009 · No Comments · Review
I saw the movie Gamer earlier in the week with Ron, John, and Don. If you “ah” the “on” in Jason we all have rhyming names.
Right – so the film was bad. It had some really clever ideas (mostly ripped from Running Man and Smash TV), there were some really oddball amusing scenes (including a [...]
Babo on Steam
September 17th, 2009 · No Comments · Observations
Our game launched this afternoon on Steam, which is great news for all the people (like me) who don’t have an Xbox! The powers that be have launched it at a reduced price for this week only, and you get a guest pass so you can try out multiplayer, which is really the jewel in [...]

Sens vs Panthers Sept 16
September 17th, 2009 · No Comments · Ottawa
Natasha and I caught a Senators pre-season hockey game last night, a chance to check out the new team-members and watch the coach juggle new lines a little. As a pre-season game the stakes weren’t very high, but the Sens were a little scattered and timid about taking shots when opportunities presented themselves.
Right in the [...]

Another Awesome Sunset
September 16th, 2009 · 2 Comments · Photography
I took this sunset pic two weeks ago and neglected it for a bit. Amazing how much variation there can be in the colours of the sky day after day. Another awesome sunset – this time in keeping with the peach-eating theme. You’re probably sick of the sunsets already! I’ll have to take [...]
More Great Sunsets

I love the sunsets we’ve been getting all week! Lots of great rich colours, so beautiful! Natasha and I keep calling to eachother through the house – “Hey! Look out the window NOW!”

… Gonna Eat a Lot of Peaches
September 14th, 2009 · No Comments · Observations
I’m eating my way through a basket of delicious ripe peaches this week. Mmmmm. The seasonal nature of fruit never really occured to me before I started making an effort to buy the local stuff, you can get canned and frozen berries all year. This year for some reason I’ve really been anticipating [...]

Atelier
September 11th, 2009 · No Comments · Observations, Ottawa, Review
For our anniversary, Natasha and I followed up on a hot tip from a couple of sources and managed to get in to Atelier Restaurant, which resulted in the singlemost exciting culinary experience that either of us have ever been a part of. I don’t think I can recommend it enough – Chef Marc Lepine [...]
