We hopped on our bikes a couple of times this weekend to go explore the paths that criss-cross the city. I know every inch of the routes in Aylmer and Hull but the Ottawa paths were still a mystery to me, so I did a bit of a refresher in Google Maps and Saturday we took off to go exploring the Parkway. Sunday, we met up with Greg and the gang out by Woodroffe and Baseline which was as far south as I’d ever been. There’s lots to see, including a cool transit tunnel and a cute little bridge over a creek near Iris:
I’m hoping that we’ll have good enough weather this summer to take a trip right through to Parliament Hill along the river, there’s some really fantastic old crumbly ruins and neat shoreline features along the way.
