I don’t get out to the Galeries D’Aylmer Mall very often any more, but my recent visits have been a little disappointing – I don’t know if it’s the rent or the location or what, but like a lot of malls lately they seem to have a pretty hard time courting upscale retailers despite being smack dab in the middle of a (constantly growing) suburb.

I stopped into the Canadian Tire to grab some composting bags, and discovered on the way that the new neighbor to the tanning salon is the Radiology Clinic! Seriously? Like, if you’re not already getting enough surface-tissue damage in the tanning booth, roll over a little closer to the wall and absorb some delicious deep-tissue cancer-causing x-rays. Who puts a radiology clinic in a mall? How about maybe a Build-a-Bear?
