As I was leaving the house this morning to get on my bike, I noticed a thick shimmering spider web strung between our rose bushes. As I bent down to look I came face to face with something hovering on a nearly invisible web – this enormous 2 and a half inch long Orb Weaver Spider. Freaking gigantic!
And even worse – he told terrible jokes. A comedian! What a nightmare!

I have those on everything too, I watched one in particular grow until it got just too big for me to be comfortable, so I sent Dad in for the Job. He was living on my front porch and every night he was on my kitchen window. Not a pretty sight to see every night before going to bed. Now I can have some sweet dreams!

We have had lots of these big guys this year. I content myself with the thought that they had to eat a lot of bugs to get that big.
