We got in on Saturday night late, sometime around 3:00AM after dancing up a storm for Matthew’s going away party, and as I slogged around the apartment turning off lights I caught this out the corner of my eye. The moon is sitting right down on the horizon (it slipped beneath a moment later) and it’s a sinister dark red. Picture’s not fantastic because I was in no condition to wrestle with night time exposure settings. But check out the colour! Eerie.

You can sortof make out the peak of the church in Aylmer, tip reaching up just above the bottom of the moon – neat. In a few weeks I may be able to get a silhouette of the church in front of the moon – that’d be a cool shot.
